If you live in the state of Kentucky, you have no other choice than to bleed blue… there’s just something about the water that we drink as we are growing up, the grass we walk upon, or the blue sky overhead as we play outside. Kentucky runs through my veins and most of the rest of the state! It’s why we are called Big Blue Nation! BBN!
We love our Cats, regardless of the sport, but we are primarily a basketball school with media coverage far and wide. Latey, our football team has been competitive in the battlegrounds of what is the SEC. Could we be more competitive in another league in football? Probably, but now that we have put in a competitive team, there are hopes that it continues for more years to come.
Our cheerleaders have won yet again this year, another National Championship, their 24th. What other program does this? What other college can put together championships after championships? It’s a simple answer…. no other. It’s why we are… UK!
